Our agency knows the importance of responding to the needs of our community, especially at critical times like these. During these uncertain times, nutritious food should be certain. We are supporting the vital efforts of Mobile Meals of Toldeo. Mobile Meals “Meals on Wheels” is a program that delivers cooked meals around their community to those who are homebound, such as the elderly, ailed and physically disabled. Their volunteers gather and cook thousands of home-cooked nutritious meals. Then, they drive around town in their delivery vehicles and hand-deliver the meals to those that do not have the means to access them otherwise.
The volunteers always make sure to check in with their clients about their health and well-being in hopes of alleviating the additional need of extensive and expensive care arrangements. Their “Meal on Wheels” program continues to serve over 2,800 clients annually. More than 600 volunteers deliver over 326,000 nutritious meals to homebound people every year…isn’t that incredible?
