Approximately 17 percent of households in Ohio are food insecure, with 18,849 residents coming from Wood County. Every day, children and families lack access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food. The Brown Bag Project is on a mission to prevent this as much as possible by providing individuals with a food supply to help meet their immediate needs and a resource to guide to help during crises and connect them to the right resources. Our agency values the support Brown Bag Food Project has shown our community and will join them in its mission to address food insecurity in Wood County, Ohio.
Brown Bag Food Project functions as a critical link between available resources and our most vulnerable neighbors. Since opening its doors in 2013, this organization has helped thousands of families who lack assistance in Wood County and have dealt with food insecurity.
Food insecurity may not always be obvious, but it’s all around us. Brown Bag Food Project offers a lending hand to all faces of hunger in their community, but they can’t do it alone. We are committed to raising awareness in our community and giving our customers, business partners, and anybody else that cares the ability to make an impact themselves. We will donate $10 on your behalf to our current Community Cause campaign for every person you recommend to us.
